Kuurne Brussel Kuurne starts a day after Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. There is quite some overlap in the startlist, so although we provide a prediction below we will also attempt to refresh it after the Omloop. The predictions in Table 1 are based on Zweeler points for the Kuurne Brussel Kuurne game (so you do not see e.g. probabilities). In this game riders score points by ending up in the top 25 of a race.
The first of the Flanders spring classics is nearly there: Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Some consider this the official start of the cycling season, but we think you miss out on quite some interesting races if you do.

The UAE tour is the one and only World Tour race in the Middle East. The race starts in Abu Dhabi and finishes in Dubai. Both countries hosted their own races in previous years, but are joining forces from now on. What to expect? Well lot’s of desert of course, but there is a serious lineup that appears at the start with the top sprinters (Viviani, Ewan, Gaviria) and very strong GC contenders, Dumoulin, Froome, Nibali and Roglic, to just name a few.
At exactly the same time of the Vuelta a Andalucia, there also is a Volta in Portugal: the Volta ao Algarve. This five day race has a total length of about 780 kilometers and features an individual time trial of 20 kilometers over a slightly hilly track. Below you will find again a prediction for the Zweeler poule for this race. After reviewing the track our first guess is that the predictions are a bit too heavy on the sprinter side, but let’s see how the race evolves.
It is almost time for the 65th (!!) Vuelta a Andalucia. This HC category race is already around since 1925 and starts this year at the Atlantic coast (Sanlúcar de Barrameda). The finish, some 680 kilometers further, is at the Costa del Sol (Alhaurín de la Torre). Fortunately this race is broadcasted on Eurosport 1, so no need to look for streams online.
Final Forecast Tour of Oman 2019 It has been a bit quiet the past weeks. But that’s because of a reason. We’ve been working hard on expanding the features that we use for the race predictions and the set of races that we focus on. For the rest of the season we will aim to also publish a ‘Zweeler poule forecast’ for every HC race on the calendar.
Final Forecast Cadel Evans Ocean Race 2019 In just two days the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race 2019 starts, so we are only just in time with our race predictions. Since this is a single day race we use a different algorithm. However, especially for the single day races there is still some fine-tuning to do and we do not utilize all possible race features.
Final Forecast Tour Down Under 2019 It has been quite some work but we managed to generate our first cycling prediction right in time for the Tour Down Under. No worries, we will spare you all the technical details. However, it is good to know that this forecast is specifically generated for the Zweeler Tour Down Under game. In this game riders score points by ending up in the top 20 of a stage.
